ZDHC Roadmap to Zero
Prevention is one of the fundamental principles of sustainable chemistry.
With the goal of reducing waste and byproducts at the source, Frabo Adesivi
joined to the ZDHC (Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals) program.
This commitment underscores our dedication to reducing-and in some cases
eliminating the use and discharge of harmful chemicals, thereby protecting
workers and the environment throughout the supply chain.
The MRSL (Manufacturers Restricted Substances List), published by ZDHC,
is a catalog of substances prohibited in manufacturing processes.
This approach goes beyond traditional chemical restrictions, which apply only
to finished products (Product Restricted Substances List – PRSL), ensuring greater
protection for workers, local communities, and the environment.
Frabo Adesivi embraces and integrates the principles of ZDHC.
OEKO-TEX®
Adhesives certified by OEKO-TEX® also meet high standards regarding the
absence of harmful substances, ensuring safety for human health and the
environment. This certification, issued by the OEKO-TEX® organization,
is a quality label confirming that textile products and related materials, such as
adhesives used in their production, have been tested for harmful chemicals.
Obtaining this certification represents another concrete step in our commitment
to responsible and sustainable production, in line with the demands of a market
increasingly focused on safety and environmental protection.
